On Thursday, September 25 at 3:00 PM, in the Aula Magna of the Rectorate of the University of Siena (Via Banchi di Sotto 55, Siena), the PhD Graduation Day ceremony will be held — a moment of celebration for the University’s PhD graduates who, totaling 175, obtained their degrees during the last academic year.
There will be four speakers on the program: Ilaria Cursaro, PhD in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences; Rosario Amato, researcher in the Department of Biology at the University of Pisa (former PhD student in Molecular Medicine); Nicoletta Ademollo, researcher at the CNR Institute of Polar Sciences; and Professor Daniele Malfitana, President of the Scuola Superiore at the University of Catania. The event will conclude with the presentation of a ceremonial keepsake to the PhD graduates.
In the morning, at 10:30 AM in the Auditorium of the Santa Chiara Lab (Via Valdimontone 1, Siena), a lecture will be held for current PhD students, given by Professor Daniele Malfitana, titled:
"Research, teaching, public engagement: how to navigate today."
